Easy Sausage Rolls

Updated: Mar 13

This recipe is a hit with my husband & daughter. It isn't the healthiest snack so I reserve it for cheat days when we just fancy a bit of comfort food. I often prepare these sausage rolls for new years, as a nibble in the afternoon to keep us going until the main event later in the evening. It is not also easy to write out instructions for a recipe like this so I recommend you watch the video recipe on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or YouTube, at the following links:

6 Servings

Ingredients:

2 rectangular sheets of puff pastry

6 hotdog sausages

Ketchup

1 egg, beaten in a bowl for the egg wash

Instructions:

Heat oven to 200c.

Cut each sheet of pastry into 6 evenly sized rectangles, so you end up with 12 evenly sized rectangles.

Drizzle a little ketchup on 6 of the 12 rectangles, add a hotdog & drizzle a little ketchup over the top.

Place each of the remaining 6 rectangles of pastry over the top, fold over the sides & seal using a fork.

Using a sharp knife, create 4 slashes across the top of each one, to allow steam to escape.

Brush with egg wash & bake 15-20 minutes.
